Colleagues and friends, you may have seen that the Kentucky LEADS Collaborative was included on the list of programs to be cut in the Governor's proposed budget. Fortunately, this is a misnomer. The Kentucky LEADS Collaborative has NEVER received funding from the State. While the scope of our work to reduce the burden of lung cancer would certainly benefit from additional support, our project will not be stopped or curtailed by this proposed action of the Governor. If you have questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be happy to share with you additional perspectives on this situation.

Thank you for your continued support, and our collaborative efforts with the University of Kentucky, the University of Louisville, the Lung Cancer Alliance, and our VITAL partnering implementation sites throughout Kentucky will continue to reduce the burden of lung cancer in the Commonwealth.
